Covid-19 Cancels Conference!

Having spent less than a year on research, intense fieldwork and laboratory work, months on analysing data, I was excited to have something to present at a conference. It was an exercise I looked forward to and one where I could communicate my research journey and preliminary results.

I had always attended conferences as an attendee and finally I could attend by displaying my poster. I didn't feel That I had enough information to confidently deliver a presentation as it was still to new into my research. This was something I was looking forward to later in the year but sadly this did not happen. When the opportunity arises, jump at it! You learn skills whilst doing so and if not learning new skills, because you smash presenting your work, do it to strengthen those amazing skills.

The conference I was due to attend was the Student Conference on Conservation Science 2020 on the 24 - 26th March. Sadly, due to Covid-19, this did not happen! Since graduating, but not with a physical ceremony, there have been no opportunities to virtually attend a conference. The time may now have passed and I may not get another opportunity in the near future to showcase my research, so here it is! I am working with my supervisors in publishing my work so, watch this space!

You can find my final paper in the Research page on my site if you are interested in frogs, phylogenetics, biogeography, morphometrics or to just look at pretty graphs and photos.

Heres my poster and you can find the PDF below it.

Enjoy :)
